Green Mill Village Theatre is located in Amazing Arcola, Illinois directly off I-57
Purpose
Plans and carries out all sales activities for all aspects of group ticket sales for Green Mill Village Theater to meet or exceed attendance and ticket revenue goals; anticipates needs, and proactively provides solutions as applicable to each market and/or business case; provides exceptional service and ensures customer satisfaction, and ensures the smooth functioning of group bookings and ticket sales by managing the quality of the product and service delivery. Utilizing creativity and a passion for the performing arts, the Theatre Sales & Public Relations Specialist represents GMVT with the utmost professionalism while creating a fun and inviting atmosphere for guests and employees.
Essential Functions
Develops, executes, and manages group sales, goals, campaigns, and initiatives.
Generates, qualifies, and prioritizes sales leads.
Sources and develops client referrals.
Develops with Green Mill Village Marketing & Development (GMV M&D) and maintains direct marketing activities, sales action plans, strategies and promotional materials.
Prepares and maintains up-to-date customer data base, including group sales mail and email lists; actively pursues the acquisition of new names; maintains cross categorization of listings to identify interest-specific sub-lists as needed.
Coordinates mailings for group sales including group sales brochures and all show specific mailings.
Schedules and delivers sales presentations to corporations, associations, and community and volunteer organizations.
Responds to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person.
Negotiates terms with clients, and prepares and presents sales contracts.
Coordinates ticket sales and room reservations with Green Mill Village Best Western PLUS Hotel managers.
Oversees the processing of all group sales orders including double-checking for accuracy in meeting customer requests and direct customer contact.
Compiles and submits weekly sales activity records and reports.
Maintains all group sales bookkeeping records and regularly updates billing and collection of sales orders and reconciliation.
Follows up on client experience, and product and service delivery.
Carries out market research and surveys; monitors changes and developments in the arts community and market conditions.
Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
Retains and increases business from current Group patrons.
Ensures high level customer satisfaction and excellent client relationships.
Represents GMV Theater at tour and travel industry meetings, including managing relationships with local travel industry businesses and expanding GMVT's presence through participation in conventions & expositions and partnerships with local tourism organizations.
Collaborates with local partners such as chambers, philanthropic organizations and other tourism boards, plus the local community to exemplify the vision and build community relations in the surrounding towns.
Coordinates closely with Green Mill Village Marketing & Development, Social Media & Sales Assistant and the other Green Mill Village properties to take full advantage of sales, marketing and public relations synergies.
Targets and develops relationships with Non Profits, Schools, Churches and other organizations within the 75-mile radius of Arcola.

Education and/or Experience
Minimum five years sales experience required.
Three to five years of prior experience in the hospitality industry in various roles is preferred.
Experienced in Group Sales markets (such as Entertainment, Resort Sales, Wedding Sales, Youth Sales, Catered Events)
Excellent knowledge of marketing and event planning, group sales.
Post-secondary degree in related field (Sales, Business, Performing Arts, etc.) preferred.
Work Environment
Estimated 80% outside sales and 20% office time.
Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and transportation means for outside work.
Exposure to inclement weather during travel
Must be available to be present at the theater for selected nighttime and weekend performances/events.
