Human Resource Generalist reports to the Human Resource Manager.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel
Participates in administrative meetings
Participates in Human Resource meetings and seminars
Maintains legal posting in a timely fashion
Maintains affirmative action programs and files EEO annually
Maintains department records and reports
Maintains FMLA records and keeps up to date with the changing laws
Assures compliance with COBRA guidelines
Coordinates health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance enrollments
Communicates with service providers concerning annual open enrollment
Coordinates benefits enrollment meetings for new employees
Assists with reconciliation of benefits statements Prepares new employee files and set up
Verifies I-9 and E-Verify documentation and maintains current records
Prepares paperwork required to place employee on payroll and establishes personnel file
Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
Keeps employee records up-do-date processing employee status changes in a timely fashion
Processes personnel action forms, assures proper approvals, and distributes approved forms
Answers employee requests and questions in a timely fashion
Assists with employee warnings, suspensions, and separation packages
Assembles 90 day and annual performance evaluation paperwork
Assists in quick response for hiring temporary workers as necessary
Assists in the hiring process
Processes terminations
Maintains Employee Handbook
Assists with special events
Maintains timekeeping system
Maintains safety training and safety compliance practices
Maintains state and federal regulation and posting requirements
Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions
Schedules meetings
Oversees new hire and monthly random drug screening
Works closely with the Accounting department
Performs other duties as assigned
Competencies:
Proficiency of computer software (Windows XP, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher) Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration Multi-task in a fast paced and a changing environment Problem solving identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner Effective oral and written communication skills Interpersonal Skills Confidentiality

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
